Zytronic – the Touch Technology specialist – provides a range of projected capacitive touch technology (PCT™) interactive products which are used in electronic displays for information kiosks, ATMs, ticketing and gaming machines, as well as by military, computer, telecommunications and medical manufacturers. All touch sensor products are based on the Zytronic internationally award winning technology, providing a highly durable and stable touch technology.
The touch screen can be combined with features of optical filters as anti-reflective, circular polarizers, electromagnetic shielding, privacy viewing filters, heating for glass de-icing and other characters.
Basics about the technology
Projective capacitive touch (PCT™) – the basic principle: Very thin wires are embedded into glass. Each wire has a RC time constant and specified oscillation frequency. The proximity of a finger brings additional capacity and changes the final frequency. The touch position can be obtained from X and Y grid interpolation using a controller board with USB or RS232 interface.
Untempered – Tempered glass - Both types of glass are safety and when broken up, they still stay together in one piece. The untempered glass breaks into single wide and sharp edges. The tempered glass breaks into small pieces with safe edges.
Glass bonding – dual glass - Make integration of the front (cover) glass and touch sensor into one compact part possible to reduce sunshine reflections and improve anti-vandal resistance.
Anti-glare (AG) – anti-reflective (AR) coating - The additional anti-glare layer features light scattering with a matt surface, which reduces glare at the cost of decreased contrast and colour intensity. The anti-reflective coating is a type of optical coatingapplied to the glass surface to reduce reflection. This improves the efficiency of the system since less light is lost compared with AG. The reduction of reflections also improves the contrast of the image and AR is the first choice for outdoor applications exposed to sunshine.

Available standard products based ontempered double safety glass (3mm tempered anti-glare front + 4mm untempered rear glass bonded together). The double safety glass provides the highest level of mechanical safety. Partly or full customization possible. ZYTOUCH® products make the integration of cover glass and touch sensor in one product possible. The display readabily can be improved by using additional both side anti-reflex coating and together with thick double anti-vandal glass you are provided the best outdor solution from Zytronic. ZYPROFILM® incorporates an integrated rear projection substrate up to 82" in active diagonal, intended for use with a rear projection system ( beamer). ZYFILM® was designed for use with TFT displays. The cling film on the front face enables adhesion to the rear window.The controller board must be ordered separately as it is not a part of the touch screen.
